- Once again, the Bush White House demonstrates its complete disregard for concepts like free speech and its absolute determination to whitewash every public appearance by the dimbulb who currently holds the office of President. They want protestors to be cordoned off so that the Prez never sees them; have staff hunting for anti-Bush signs at every protest; and want only "extremely supportive" people admitted to VIP sections. Welcome to Stepford.

- In another decision reflecting their monarchial view of Presidential power, today they blow off the Congress on its subpoenas regarding the firing of 8 U.S. Attorneys. It's a debacle that has practically closed down the Justice Department, and yet another opportunity for this White House to ignore the Congress and the people. Jeez, Louis XIV wasn't this bad; let them eat cake, indeed.
