- AARP supports those stupid "Divided We Fail" ads that ran over & over on CNN & MSNBC, what is actually behind the (mind numbing) ads is a push by business groups against providing health insurance for employees, for replacing employess insurance with private health accounts

- We're members, so they sent us a notice telling us to renew our membership -- NINE MONTHS BEFORE IT WAS DUE! If my wife wasn't a sensible person and hadn't checked, she would have just paid it, way ahead of schedule. Think of all the elderly who have precious little disposable income who they're doing this too; then think of the ones who pay any bill that comes in the door, who don't check -- how much money of theirs is AARP squirreling away. They should be protecting the elderly from scams like this, not practicing this kind of sleazy marketing. When we complained, they sent us a total non-answer. Sleazeballs!
