- I agree - I always have high hopes for movie adaptations, but they never quite get there. What scares me a little are books that come out and are followed up by a movie release a few months later (e.g. Hannibal Rising). Even though I've enjoyed the Hannibal novels up to this point, I'm guessing Hannibal Rising the book and film are both going to suck.
