- our country thrives on useless plastic crap.

- It's so true, and even I have to admit that I get sucked into a bargain and then regret it because inevitably it breaks, doesn't last more than a few months...etc. I know if I purchase something that is "quality" that it will last and even in 5, 10, 15 years from now I won't regret that purchase.

- Want it! Need it! Got it! Our society is sadly one of materialism and the more you get, the more you want, and the more you have to buy, because it's ALL CRAP and breaks a day after the warranty is up!!! You can actually purchase a washing machine, that comes with the suckiest guaranty that replacement parts will NOT be available after 10 years. Good thing the ones made in the 50's and 60's are still working, when companies had quality control and gave a crap about the consumer. And have you been in Michael's (crafty store) lately? That's a landfill waiting to happen.

- Well, first there's the problem that it's crap, and then, of course, you have the additional issue that it's everywhere you look -- because it's not just mass-produced any more, it's all mass-overproduced. Can't get away from it.

- No originality. I have what you have, what they have, what we all have.
